The Xeikon CX3 achieves printing speeds of 30 meters per minute, and is 56% faster than any other press in the current Xeikon portfolio.
Simon Smith, CS Labels managing director, said the company had undertaken an extensive review of the ink jet options currently available on the market, and decided that a third Xeikon machine offered the best cost effective solution to improve production efficiency.
“By standardising our production facility, capturing the benefits of 30 metres per minutes to using the very latest toners, we have been able to significantly reduce our production cost.”
He added that the Xeikon CX3 delivers greater production flexibility and allows the company to explore new markets:
“It has enabled us to expand capacity and we can also produce different types of work. We have raised production efficiency. Each press is dedicated to a specific product type. We maximise production by minimising material changes on each press. The CX 3 units enable us to concentrate production of self-adhesive labels and transfer production of our flexible stand up pouches and transfers to the other presses.”
