Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is DHL’s producer compliance scheme.
Landbell Group is the main shareholder in another compliance specialist, Chiswick-based European Recycling Platform (ERP).
ERP currently offers recycling and compliance services for WEEE, batteries and packaging to more than 2,500 customers in 32 countries.
All DHL’s WEEE and packaging compliance, pan-European and data services have been permanently transferred to ERP UK. The deal will mean that a number of local authorities will have their WEEE collections transferred to ERP.
ERP will carry out data and compliance services for packaging, electrical and electronic equipment, and batteries.
Paul Richardson, managing director of specialist services at DHL Supply Chain said: “Our partnership with Landbell Group delivers a fantastic new solution for our customers, revolutionising how businesses access waste management and compliance services. Today’s announcement is a game-changer – not only offering the broadest solution in Europe but one that’s unrivalled in both scope and expertise.”
