“The future now for the whole of industry is very uncertain. I was talking to the business minister and we must remember that industry, and business in a wider sense, actually creates the wealth of the economy, and that has been put at risk,” he said.
He added however that he was confident British industry would “sort this mess out”, but warned that government should not load more and more legislation on to business.
He also didn’t mince his words when it came to the topic of Nigel Farage.
“We bare enough legislation as it is. Business I think is hugely misunderstood and hugely underestimated – Nigel Farage said this is one in the eye for big business; does the idiot not understand where the money comes from in the first place?”
