On 12 March, over 100 industry professionals will compete in a head to head challenge on the Adrenaline Jungle Assault course in aid of the DMRC Headley Court.
Headley Court provides a range of rehabilitation services for injured service personnel. From outpatients through residential courses for those with sports, exercise and industrial injuries to those with complex life changing trauma injuries including amputation and brain injury, the centre provides much needed help and support to those injured when serving their country.
Andy Young, chairman, EFIA, said: “Headley Court is about giving serving and retired service men and women the best possible treatment they rightly deserve. They have made enormous sacrifices to keep Britain safe. EFIA has chosen Headley Court as its nominated 2017 charity and will be committed to raising £10,000 throughout the year. This assault course is the first of many planned charity events.”
The event is sponsored by The Bobst Group who will be donating the entry fee of all participants. In return, they are requesting people raise as much as possible for the charity. A fundraising page has been set up and can be found at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/EFIAcharity.
Teams from InspirePac Smurfit Kappa, Skymark, DataLase and Parkside have already signed up and will be tackling obstacles such as scramble nets, tyre tunnels, walls and much more at the Nottingham based assault course.
