Ron Marsh, the former chief executive of RPC Group, has joined the team of board mentors at Criticaleye, the peer to peer board community.
Criticaleye offers high level advice and support to senior executives based on their own time and experience in positions of leadership.
Marsh has over 40 years experience in the manufacturing industry, most recently as head of the plastic packaging giant company RPC Group, successfully leading it through an IPO in 1993 to become an established member of the FTSE250.
He is currently chairman of Polypipe Group, a non-executive director of British Polythene Industries plc, a non-executive director of Faerch Plast Group and chairman of the Packaging Federation and the Alliance for European Polymers.
Criticaleye chief executive Matthew Blagg said: “Our team of over 45 Criticaleye Board Mentors have collectively held over 100 CEO and chair roles, and in excess of 300 non-executive positions, so can support and advise our members from a position of vast experience. I would like to welcome Ron to our growing team.”
Marsh added: “I’m very pleased to take on the role of board mentor for Criticaleye and look forward to working with some of its members. I hope my own experiences of leading companies will be a useful reference point. Having access to a mentor and the opportunity to have open and honest conversations outside the boardroom can be invaluable for senior executives.”
