Recently, printing from a smartphone was complicated if not impossible. Now, companies not only provide plenty of options for mobile print, they are also adding special features. Case in point: Xerox. The company has launched an app called Easy Translator that translates texts into a chosen language and prints it directly from the smartphone.

Library without books opens in Paris
It is a first in Europe: A library without books. Located in the historic heart of Paris, close to the famous university La Sorbonne, the library allows students to browse, select and print the books they wish to read. The library is stocked with more than 5000 titles. The books will be ready within minutes on the Espresso Book Machine, as long as they don’t exceed 850 pages in length.

At drupa 2016, Ricoh will unveil the Ricoh TotalFlow Cloud Suite, a range of cloud-based solutions offered as Software-as-a-Service, expanding the portfolio of workflow solutions to support commercial print service providers and corporate enterprise clients. The solutions that form TotalFlow Cloud Suite comprise: data cleansing, Web-to-print, marketing asset management, cross media services, and workflow automation.

Michelman’s digital printing primers compliant with Nestlé guidance
Inks and primers used for food packaging have to fulfill special requirements. To prevent packaging incidents and recalls due to safety and compliance concerns, Nestlé has set strict guidelines for food safety, toxicology and regulatory compliance for all components used to produce its food packaging. Michelman’s DigiPrime 4431, 050, 680, and its In-Line Primer 030 have now been confirmed by Nestlé as compliant with its inks guidance document.
