Bamford will be among the speakers at the Packaging News Theatre during the show and her presentation will focus on, “How brands can use packaging to offer a point of difference and stand out on shelf and why the consumer is at the heart of everything we do”.
She will be looking at packaging and flavour trends and how these can be infused with different structures and substrates to deliver a new experience on shelf, while still delivering a premium experience in a mass produced ‘everyday’ product in a retail environment
Bamford has worked mainly in FMCG, Retail, and the drinks market, for companies such as Diageo, Smurfit Kappa, Twinings and Iceland Foods, in NPD and Packaging Development.
“Packaging is a fundamental part of everyday life, in which I love to see how this can be challenged and changed in order to deliver a different experience or function – it’s sometimes the littlest things that have the biggest / most exciting impact, which delivers that surprise and delight and point of difference in a challenging market place.”
Packaging Innovations (inc. Ecopack and Contact Pack), co-located Empack & Label&Print, takes place at Birmingham NEC, 1-2 March 2017.
