The product consists of renewable baseboard and PET coating on both sides, which makes it strong enough to withstand tearing. Ensocard Resilience can replace plastic, for example in child-resistant pharmaceuticals packaging.
Ensocard Resilience is a tailor-made packaging material developed by Stora Enso for pharmaceuticals, para-pharmaceuticals, e-cigarettes and other products that must be kept secure from children. Ensocard Resilience will be introduced at the Interpack 2017 in May.
“Stora Enso has long experience in producing tear-resistant board for certified child-resistant pharmaceuticals packaging, so the performance in the very demanding end use is proven.
The new Ensocard Resilience provides even better tear-resistance than the materials that we have offered so far. Together with clever packaging design, Ensocard Resilience enables efficient, industrial production of child-resistant packaging with no additional plastic parts,” said product manager Jaana Keskitalo.
